10 Signs you are dating Passive-Aggressive Person

Using ProcrastinationDating someone who’s passive aggressive can be emotionally draining and is not the type of relationship you want to be in. Don’t use procrastination to try and make things work, instead think about how many signs your partner is showing of this behaviour and decide if they’re someone you want to be dating.

1) They make you feel on edge

It’s hard for them to hide their passive aggressive behaviour and deep down you’ll know something’s wrong because you’ll feel on edge when you’re around them. It’ll be hard for you to pinpoint what the issue is but you know it has something to do with the way they act towards you.

2) They expect to you be grateful

They expect you to be grateful for every little thing they do because this is one way of controlling you and to make you feel like you don’t deserve them. They’ll constantly remind you of all the things they do and get upset when you don’t give them enough credit.

3) They talk about their ex

They’ll talk about their ex as a way to remind you that they can leave you and find someone else. They don’t want to go back to their ex but they’ll make you feel like it’s a possibility so you’ll try harder to make them happy and do what they want.

4) They try to make you jealous

There will be lots of moments where they try to make you feel jealous but they’ll do it in playful ways so they can pretend to be joking with you. They might do things like flirt with other people, ignore you for awhile or go out without you.

5) They rely on compliments

You’ll notice that they give you a lot of compliments without really meaning them. They do this so you feel good around them and will be more willing to overlook all of the passive aggressive behaviour they display.

6) Only they have boundaries

Your boundaries won’t be respected but they’ll expect you to respect theirs and will get upset when you do something wrong. However, they will tell you that you’re overreacting if you get upset with them because your feelings don’t matter to them.

7) They make the plans

All the plans will be made by them and they’ll act enthusiastic about it because they want you to feel like they’re helping you out instead of trying to control your life. You won’t want to hurt their feelings so you’ll go along with what they want even if it doesn’t make you happy.

8) They take all your time

They will do whatever they can to make sure that you spend all your time with them. This is to isolate you and make you rely on them without realizing it. They’ll act like you mean so much to them but you’ll feel like they don’t really mean it.

9) They make you feel guilty

You’re going to feel guilty about things that aren’t your fault because they’ll blame you but in a non-direct way. They will say things like “If you had helped me…” or “I thought that’s what you wanted me to do.” so it sounds like they were trying to help you.

10) They break promises

They say they don’t have time right now but will make it up to you later which makes you forgive them and feel like you’re over-reacting.
